The Project:
Add a second story to an already exquisite home, enabling incredible new spaces and beautiful ocean views.
Client Story:
When Joe and Susan came to us they were deflated. They had been told that it was impossible to build them a seamless second story according to their specifications and budget, and that any attempt would end up “looking like a shoe box on a roof.”
The result:
After discussing their needs and their budget we formulated a plan which incorporated feature gables, brick veneer, feature corbelling and arched windows. We made sure we put our attention to the details so the new build would blend beautifully into the existing portion of their home.
The second storey extension was seamless from front to rear. Weighted correctly and located in the centre of the home. We added a master bedroom, sitting room, study, staircase, storage area, ensuite, walk-in-robe and a rear balcony. All providing stunning ocean views.
While the design is important, the quality of the build is equally important.
Joe and Susan are not only happy with the outcome, but also with the fact that guests always tell them that their addition “looks like it’s always been there.”
